Magical Crafts First Fortnightly Challenge !!!!

THE FIRST MAGICAL CRAFTS

CHALLENGE!!!

GOOD MORNING and here's my first Magical Crafts challenge!! This is my entry and follows the theme of RED, GOLD and GREEN!!!

If you want to take part hop over to Magical Crafts Fortnightly Challenge blog via the link - there is a twist you can make either a card using the colours or an ornament but if you do both you are entered twice into the challenge, there are some lovely prizes so nip and have a look - everyone is really friendly and all are welcome!!!!

Here is the recipe for my DT entry!!!

Stardream card in Red, Gold and Green

Nestabilities labels 3

Sizzix sizzlits snowman

Sizzix sizzlits santa hat

Quickcutz retro alphabet dies

Snow writer

Glamour dust - crystal

Burgundy organza ribbon

Black glitter glue

Gold gems

For the tree decoration simply cut 4 layers with the nesties, starting with gold, then red then green then finally gold, or any combination you wish. Repeat once. Layer them up so you end up with 2 halves, using foam pads. Die cut the Santa hat and Snowman , use the snow writer to cover the snowman and the fur trim of Santa's hat and the pompom, cover with glamour dust and set aside to dry. Once these are dry you can affix one to each of your panels, then affix the ho ho ho with quickie glue pen or your choice of adhesive underneath the Santa hat, again cover the letters with glue of your choice and apply glamour dust. Once snowman is dry apply black glitter glue as eyes and buttons. Colour the snowman's sticks with brown promarker. Once these are dry you can affix the two halves together with foam pads or tape if you wish. Apply gold gems as you wish, then punch a hole in the top of your decoration, I used a cropadile, and put your ribbon through ready for it to hang!!

For the card simply score an A4 piece of gold stardream card in half down the A5 line, turn so it is a tent fold, matt and layer a piece of red then green stardream card onto the blank. Put a piece of matching ribbon across the card. Repeat as above for the two halves of the decoration, once dry and all assembled and glamour dusted, simply apply to the front of the card as above. Die cut Merry Christmas and apply to front of card as above, or use a peel off or whatever you have to hand.

Hop over to the Magical Crafts challenge blog and take part yourself.... theres some lovely goodies up for grabs....

Thanks for looking, hope you have enjoyed, hugs Steph xxx
